1 FOR ALL,ALL FOR ONE
Established in the 16th century, Vigan City is known as one of the 7 WONDERS CITIES OF THE WORLD and
best-preserved example of a planned Spanish colonial town in Asia. It is also
one of the richest in terms of historical and cultural heritage. Vigan is a
very quaint city and you can tell it by the calm and safe surroundings, the
buildings that have not to be renovated because this city wants to represent the old Spanish city. They are
really preserving their culture and it is very overwhelming for the tourist to
visit and especially the Ilocanoes.
The people in this place are known for being hardworking, appreciative, simple and
determined. However, they are also known as stingy or “kuripot”. Of course, they’re being called stingy and
cheap is just treated as a joke or pun among Filipinos and not as a negative
regional stereotype. But aside of that, they still helping each other to
develop their city or it is called bayanihan“one for
all,all for one”.
