NOW or NEVER
The DENR joins the global
celebration of World Environment Day, June 5, and the Philippine Environment
Month this June. This year’s theme “Raise Your Voice, Not the Sea Level,”
recognizes the remarkable resilience of small islands to climate change. The
United Nations Environment Program say, “small islands contribute little to the
problem of climate change yet they are especially vulnerable to the changing
climate.”
As
we live on day by day, we must give an attention to our environment because we
depend on it. There we’re so many social problems that we are facing right now
and one of the reason is climate change. Climate change is an overwhelming scientific consensus maintains that is due
primarily to the human use of fossil fuels, which releases carbon dioxide and
other greenhouse gases into the air. Come to your sense, in the end we may all
suffer if this problem can’t solve. When we heal the world, we heal ourselves.
Let us all join hands in trying to
combat the ill-effects of climate change.
