NOW or NEVER

The DENR joins the global celebration of World Environment Day, June 5, and the Philippine Environment Month this June. This year’s theme “Raise Your Voice, Not the Sea Level,” recognizes the remarkable resilience of small islands to climate change. The United Nations Environment Program say, “small islands contribute little to the problem of climate change yet they are especially vulnerable to the changing climate.”

As we live on day by day, we must give an attention to our environment because we depend on it. There we’re so many social problems that we are facing right now and one of the reason is climate change. Climate change is an overwhelming scientific consensus maintains that is due primarily to the human use of fossil fuels, which releases carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases into the air. Come to your sense, in the end we may all suffer if this problem can’t solve. When we heal the world, we heal ourselves.
Let us all join hands in trying to combat the ill-effects of climate change.

Fulfill to a Better future

By virtue of Republic Act 10661, the National Children’s Month (NCM) in the Philippines which commemorates the adoption of the UN CRC on 20 November 1989, is annually celebrated every November. It seeks to instill its significance in the Filipino consciousness. However, despite over-all gains and continuing efforts of the Philippine Government, Filipino children and their family still face challenges which compromise their human rights and benefits of development.

It is not only for children but for their whole family to enjoy and bond together at school, or was called Familly Day. Celebrate their days before they get young and face their own challenges or purpose in life. Being a child is much more exciting than getting old because you can’t repeat or do the things you can in the past if you’re tired in present situation.

What Matters.

The celebration of Filipino Values Month in November, pursuant to Proclamation No. 479 issued on October 7, 1994, is an effective measure to create moral awakening and national consciousness on unique, positive, and genuine values held important by the Filipino people in their daily lives.

Values formation starts in the family, in spiritual life, relationship with others ,in the workplace ,and in the community.Commonly held values such as being helpful and hospitable unite families, indigenous peoples, societies, and nations.

Raise your Flag

One flag, one nation. One heart, one mind.

The United Nations Day was founded in 1945 to solve the issues of concern such as to educate people about human rights, and to mobilize political will and resources to mark global problems. Since 1948, every year United Nations Day is celebrated on October 24 and it marks the entry of force of the UN Charter.

It focuses on the real problems of real people, for fair globalization and bold climate action. Knowing that we are pushing for human rights and gender equality  and saying ‘no” to hatred of any kind. Striving to maintain peace while bringing life-saving aid to millions caught up in armed conflict.

The United Nations itself is becoming ever more agile and accountable as we enhance support to countries.

The KEY to SUCCESS!

Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world

You can’t define the word education without a teacher, a person who plays several roles as a guardian, caretaker, instructor, learning facilitator, mentor etc. That is a long list of responsibilities that a teacher is expected to comply. A teacher is the person who shapes the future of everyone by providing best education to her/his students.

We all are well aware of the value of a teacher in our life. Every teacher is important and equally loved and respected by the students. They’re sacrificing all their time for the students to learn something new day by day. They serve as the real light in everyone’s life as they help students to make their ways in the life. They are the God gifted people in everyone’s life who lead us towards success without any selfishness.

Without complaining, we should thank the builders of the dazzling future of our nation. As time is running, after 20+years of studying you can see yourself as one of the steward of your own world.

Win or Lose

In life, sometimes you win and sometimes you lose. Life is harder when you lose especially when you are trying so hard to prove yourself on something.  You need to accept what will come out, there is no choice but to be strong to survive life’s struggle because life has always been difficult, it is full of obstacles and struggles.

Intramurals is where the athletes of every grade level will compete to see who’s the strongest in every competition but students don’t take it seriously in what the result would be because it doesn’t  matter. Just play ,have fun, enjoy the game, don’t waste your time on regretting why you lose but be thankful always because of your capability in sports.

It’s the best moment in high school life so just join in every competition because memories matters the most and memories never fade. You can’t miss this moment in your highschool story and I assure that!

Discover your Talent

In the month of September, Ilocos Sur National High School has so many activities specially Science and Yes-O club. One of the highlight is the beauty and brain pageant which is the Binibini at Ginoong Kalikasan 2019. Where every students have their favorite candidate and keep on cheering them during pre-pageant and proper pageant. I had so many experience in this one and I can say that this club is good at preparing or making activites.

There is also a environmental friendly or convenient competition which is the Trashion Show that is good for every student to test their creativity and cleverness. This way they can encourage them to reuse, reduce and recycle ecological wastes to make unique things out of garbage

“Learning to be Happy”

Image result for happy schools movement
Happy School Movement or the HSM is just one movement which advocates to promote that every school should be a better and enjoyable place to learn. Happy School fosters a child-friendly atmosphere among all learners. The creation of an environment where learners can voice-out and fully express themselves as well as promote learning in an easy yet affective way of learning is the core of this movement.

School’s environment is very important for every learners or student because they depend on it in how they act, think and learn. We learn a lot in school where we can find our own talents and capabilities we discover. We should always thank our teachers because they give big help to us growing up until we catch up our dreams and become successful as them. Don’t get tired going to school because you'll never discover lines on life, lessons, love, work, growth, change, thinking, education without learning

Keeping in mind that school children now will soon rule the future, thus make sure that learners learn not just on survival mode or break-even scheme. We should see to it that there is a return of investment on the way they learn and that they become life-long learners, very much ready to conquer the world with happiness in their thoughts, words and actions.

1 FOR ALL,ALL FOR ONE

Image result for vigan heritage picsIt is a simple fact that we cannot live and exist well independently of others, we are interdependent beings. Solidarity looks upon this interdependence as something good, something positive, a thing to be cherished. We are all one family in the world. Building a community that empowers everyone to attain their full potential through each of us respecting each other's dignity, rights and responsibilities makes the world a better place to live.

Established in the 16th century, Vigan City is known as one of the 7 WONDERS CITIES OF THE WORLD and best-preserved example of a planned Spanish colonial town in Asia. It is also one of the richest in terms of historical and cultural heritage. Vigan is a very quaint city and you can tell it by the calm and safe surroundings, the buildings that have not to be renovated because this city wants to  represent the old Spanish city. They are really preserving their culture and it is very overwhelming for the tourist to visit and especially the Ilocanoes.

The people in this place are known for being hardworking, appreciative, simple and determined. However, they are also known as stingy or “kuripot”. Of course, they’re being called stingy and cheap is just treated as a joke or pun among Filipinos and not as a negative regional stereotype. But aside of that, they still helping each other to develop their city or it is called bayanihan“one for all,all for one”.

This month of August is the celebration of Buwan ng Wikang Pambansa,as the Filipino nation celebrates their culture, heritage and identity through languages. The country’s national language Filipino, plays a role in unifying the archipelagic nation of the Philippines with almost 200 different languages spoken by own 100 m. inhabitants For some reasons we have been only focused on the national language when we would also be aware of the vary languages that abound as which is the 8 major languages.

Our languages reflects our culture, our beliefs and identity as a person. We must not forget to celebrate the people who build our nation, people who communicate with each other to achieve the common goal of making a better country. Filipino people show their audience what their nation has been through to fight for freedom and democracy. The youth must see that Filipino is the soul of their culture and development of nation dependent on it.

Ang di marunong magmahal sa sariling wika ay higit pa ang amoy sa mabahong isda”, as Dr. Jose Rizal said. Keep your language and love it’s sound because you we’re not born without knowing it.
